K-6B have been enjoying daily Literacy Groups where all students read and write at their own level and pace. We practice our Jolly Phonics sounds every day and have been doing lots of learning and sentence writing about our classroom kittens.
Maths
K-6B do lots of their Mathematics learning with hands on games and activities. Students have been getting better at writing numbers and reading what they say. This term we have been working hard learning about Australian money-recognising what value coins are and working out change when shopping.
Other Key Learning Areas
K-6B practice mindfulness regularly-we meditate and take time to notice what is going on in the world around us. We have several classroom pets which provide us all with companionship and calm. We all enjoy learning about what each type of animal needs to grow and thrive and regularly have visitors from across come to learn about and enjoy them too.
In visual arts we have been painting pictures of our animals.
