During writing this term, we have been learning about poetry. Each week we will be learning about different language features utilised in poetry and various types of poems. During our literacy rotations, we read in groups with our teacher and complete a range of activities such as spelling, handwriting, comprehension and use laptops for typing, Epic, Study Ladder and Prodigy. Since Term 2, our class novel has been Harry Potter and The Philosopher’s Stone.
Maths
During Maths we have been expanding our multiplication knowledge using a variety of strategies. We begin our lessons with a number talk which have recently focused on arrays. We also participate in hands-on activities to strengthen our mathematical understanding.
Art
This term for Creative Arts, we are joining with the other Year 3 and 4 classes and participating in rotations. We have learnt the four basic chords on the ukulele and had fun learning to strum. We are eager to learn a song on the ukuleles.
