Miss Wallace

In 3/ 4Wonderful (as we like to call it), Miss Wallace has 24 energetic and hard-working students. We have 12 students in Year 3 and 12 students in Year 4. We appreciate learning and exploring new ideas and are trying hard to broaden our current knowledge further.

English

Our Literacy, this term, is all about descriptive writing and poetry. By the end of term, we are hoping to have our own ‘book of poetry’ written and illustrated by us.  We have started by writing a ‘Senses’ poem where we have been using similes to describe a colour.

Miss Wallace is trying to read ‘Keeper of the Lost Cities’ book 1. It is a long book, but some fascinating events and adventures are occurring at the moment.

Maths

In Maths we have fun playing and exploring different Maths concepts through ‘hands on’ activities. We particularly enjoyed making magic squares with dominoes to encourage our quick recollection of addition sums and racing to see if we could outrun Usain Bolt over 10m.

Other Key Learning Areas

We love PE, Art, Maths and Science. In Stage 2, we are currently doing Creative art rotations where we are learning Japanese, how to play the Ukulele, art and drama. In the first week of this term, we draw our self-portraits.

In Geography with Ms Erb, we are going to learn about places in Australia and how we can look after our environment.
