Parkes Shire Library visit once a month and a weekly visit to our school library.
English
This term in reading we are reading Walking the Boundaries by Jackie French. We are discussing each character, and the setting he/she is in. We each have our own opinion and we are becoming more confident is expressing it in a respectful manner.
We have been writing a recount after listening to picture book stories. This has been encouraging us all to listen carefully and to remember the important characters and settings in a story.
Maths
In mathematics we are concentrating on time, number and reading weather charts using the correct terminology. These are important for us to learn to help us in our life skills.
3-6W start our session with Fast Maths. We time ourselves and try to improve our accuracy and time from the previous day. We have been learning to tell the time on an analogue clock and convert it to digital time. We are missing our shopping and cooking sessions which helped us to learn to shop for the best quality, price comparison and cook from a recipe.
